* Recent data points to better-than-expected recovery (Adds quote, detail, background on economy)
MEXICO CITY, June 15 (Reuters) - Mexico's economy could grow a bit more than 5 percent this year as it emerges from a deep recession, Finance Minister Ernesto Cordero said on Tuesday, giving a view in line with many economists.
"I agree with all the analysts that we're going to grow between 4.5 percent and probably a little more than 5 percent," Cordero said in an interview on Radio Formula.
Mexico's official forecast for growth in 2010 is 4.1 percent.
Cordero said recent data for industrial production, manufacturing, internal sales and internal sales of cars all point to better-than-expected economic expansion.
"The recovery appears to be more solid," he said.
Mexico is emerging from its worst recession since the 1930s but retail and services have lagged growth in the export sector. (Reporting by Michael O'Boyle and Noel Randewich, Editing by Chizu Nomiyama)
