AMERICAN INTERNATIONAL GROUP (AIG.N)
AIG has named Bill Dooley as an executive vice president, investments and financial services, according to a memo obtained by Reuters. He will have overall responsibility for the asset management group, the memo said.
MORGAN STANLEY (MS.N)
Morgan Stanley Investment Management has hired four new executives, a source told Reuters. Navtej Nandra as head of MSIM International, Lisa Jones as MSIM's global head of sales, Jim Janover as MSIM's global head of risk, and Sara Furber as MSIM's chief operating officer.
Nandra, Janover and Furber all join from Merrill Lynch/Bank of America (BAC.N).
UBS (UBSN.VX) (UBS.N)
The Swiss bank has hired Megan Kelleher as a managing director in its prime brokerage team. She will be responsible for prime brokerage sales in Boston and New England. Kelleher joins from hedge fund Sowood Capital Management.
HOULIHAN LOKEY
The investment bank has hired two bankers to join its healthcare group. John Soden will be a managing director in the San Francisco office and lead the firm's medical technologies practice. Craig Cook will be a director in the London office and head healthcare services in Europe.
Soden joins from Thomas Weisel Partners. Cook joins from private equity firm Lydian Capital.
WELLS FARGO & COMPANY (WFC.N)
The bank appointed Richard Yorke as head of its international group based in San Francisco. Yorke joins from HSBC Plc (HSBA.L) where he most recently served as president and chief executive of HSBC Bank (China) Company Limited.
Yorke will join Wells Fargo in October.
JEFFERIES & COMPANY INC (JEF.N)
The investment bank has hired Paul Grimsey and David Simms as senior traders in its European sales and trading credit business based in London. Grimsey will head the firm's sterling credit business.
LOMBARD ODIER
Lombard Odier Investment Managers named Gregor MacIntosh as head of rates, based in Geneva, and appointed Sandro Croce as the head of client portfolio management. MacIntosh joins from Standard Life Investments.
DELOITTE LLP
The accounting and financial advisory firm said it hired Ian Smith as a corporate finance partner. Smith joins from Lloyds Banking Group (LLOY.L).
ALPHA STRATEGIC
The hedge fund investment group appointed Florence Lombard as a nonexecutive director effective immediately. Lombard joins from Alternative Investment Management Association Ltd.
FIRST STATE
First State Investments Ltd said it appointed Richard Jones as senior analyst for the Asia Pacific excluding Japan/global emerging markets team and Jin Xu as senior analyst for the global infrastructure securities team. The firm also hired Louisa Fok as a senior analyst to the global property securities team.
Jones and Xu join from Deutsche Bank DBKG.DE, while Fok joins from HSBC (HSBA.L).
PRESIDENTIAL LIFE CORP (PLFE.O)
The company named Pete Pheffer as its new chief financial officer effective June 12, replacing interim CFO Dominic DAdamo. Pheffer was previously the CFO of Missouri Employers Mutual Insurance.
BENEFICIAL MUTUAL BANCORP INC (BNCL.O)
The parent company of Beneficial Bank named Thomas Cestare as chief financial officer of both the company and the bank. Cestare previously served as executive vice president and chief accounting officer of Sovereign Bancorp Inc. [ID:nASA00GKE]
WELSH, CARSON, ANDERSON & STOWE
