Window-mounting makers fixed prices illegally - EU

BRUSSELS, June 22 | Tue Jun 22, 2010 5:59am EDT

BRUSSELS, June 22 (Reuters) - European Union antitrust regulators said on Tuesday they had charged nine unidentified window-mounting producers with fixing prices illegally. "The (European) Commission believes that nine European producers may have colluded to increase the sales prices for these mountings in the European economic area," the European Union's executive arm said in a statement.

The charges followed raids on several European companies in July 2007. (Reporting by Foo Yun Chee, editing by Dale Hudson)
