Medvedev: No Russian peacekeepers planned for Kyrgyzstan

WASHINGTON, June 24 (Reuters) - Russian President Dmitry Medvedev said on Thursday that Moscow does not plan to dispatch peacekeeping troops to Kyrgyzstan amid violent unrest in the Central Asian country.

"Russia does not plan to send its peacekeeping contingent," Medvedev said at joint news conference with U.S. President Barack Obama.
