COWEN GROUP (COWN.O)
Cowen Group Inc said it hired Thomas O'Mara as head of equity derivatives and charged him with building a convertible securities business, based in New York. O'Mara spent 14 years at Credit Suisse, where served as global head of convertible securities.
UBS AG (UBSN.VX)
UBS investment bank chairman Rick Leaman, is leaving to join his former colleagues at the boutique firm Moelis & Co, The Deal reported on Monday, citing unnamed sources. Leaman is expected to leave on July 1 and would be the latest UBS banker to join a firm run by his former boss, Ken Moelis.
Leaman previously was a joint global head of UBS's investment bank and before that a joint global head for mergers and acquisitions.
CAPITAL ADVISORY GROUP LLC
Capital Advisory Group LLC, an independent investment advisory firm and founding member of Focus Financial Partners, added Matthew Buckley as a managing director for private client services. He was formerly a senior vice president and senior adviser at SunTrust Private Wealth Management, a unit of SunTrust Banks Inc (STI.N).
CORTLANDT CAPITAL HOLDINGS
Michael Lacovara, a former top executive at Sandler O'Neill and Partners and briefly chief executive of Rodman & Renshaw Capital Group Inc RODM.O, said in an email message that he has taken on a new job as president and chief executive of Cortlandt Capital Holdings Inc. Lacovara declined to comment further when reached.
BANK OF AMERICA MERRILL LYNCH
The Bank of America Corp (BAC.N) unit appointed Don Argus to oversee a new advisory board for its Australian operations.
Argus was a former chairman of BHP Billiton (BHP.AX) (BLT.L). [ID:nSGE6510K7]
The company said Imraan Moola will join as head of Central and Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa (CEEMEA) equity derivatives. He joins from Credit Suisse (CSGN.VX).
It named Steve Holden as a dedicated CEEMEA equity derivatives salesperson based in London. He joins from Morgan Stanley (MS.N).
Citi Private Bank said Thierry Martin will join the company as team head and senior banker covering the Gulf region. Martin joins from UBS (UBSN.VX) (UBS.N).
The unit of General Electric Co. (GE.N) said Dan Matthews will join as an executive director of its European leveraged finance unit, and will report to Paul Scott, managing director and head of sponsor coverage.
Matthews joins GE Capital from the strategic debt finance division of Barclays Plc's (BARC.L) Barclays Bank.
JEFFERIES GROUP INC JEF.N
The securities and investment banking firm said Robert Foster will join the company as a managing director and European head of consumer investment banking.
Foster joins from Morgan Stanley, where he headed European Retail Sector coverage.
The global asset management business of Aviva Plc (AV.L) said Carolyn Lu will join the company as managing director, business development, Asia Pacific. She will report to Erich Gerth, the chief executive of global business development.
Lu joins from Societe Generale (SOGN.PA), where she was chief executive and regional head of business - Asia.
NOMURA HOLDINGS INC (8604.T)
The Japanese investment bank said Shaun Lim will join the company as head of oil and oil products trading, Asia ex-Japan, and will report to Sean Brecker.

RBC CAPITAL MARKETS
The corporate and investment banking arm of Royal Bank of Canada (RY.TO) (RY.N) said Robert Beange will join the company's London operation as a managing director and head of EMEA strategy. Beange joins from JP Morgan Chase & Co (JPM.N), where he was an FX strategist.
The company also hired Jonathan Stephens as a director in its global investment banking team. Stephens joins from Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CM.TO), where he was an executive director in its global mining group.
BACHE COMMODITIES LTD
The London-based commodities and financial derivatives subsidiary of Prudential Financial Inc (PRU.N) said Jonathan Webb will join the company as head of FX strategy and George Tsiourvas will join as a vice president, FX sales.
Webb joins from C-View Ltd, where he was a director and portfolio manager, while Tsiourvas joins from Omni Partners, where he was a market analyst and execution trader.
The private equity firm said Colin Watts will join as investment director. Watts joins from TLcom Capital LLP, where he was a partner.
