MOSCOW, June 28 (Reuters) - Russia's top energy official Igor Sechin did not discuss potential management changes at BP (BP.L) when he met the oil group's chief executive Tony Hayward on Monday, Sechin's office said.

Earlier on Monday Sechin said he expected Hayward to resign soon and that Russian officials would be told the name of his successor at the meeting. [ID:nLDE65R12K]

"The issue of Hayward's resignation was not discussed," a representative for Sechin told Reuters, adding that Hayward expressed BP's commitment to strategic partnerships with Russian companies on existing and future projects.
