Over 100 buried in southwest China landslide
BEIJING |
BEIJING (Reuters) - More than 100 people have been buried in a landslide triggered by heavy rainfall in China's southwest Guizhou province on Monday, state media said.
The local government rushed rescue workers to Guanling county in the landlocked province after the landslide trapped some 107 people from two villages, Xinhua reported.
Heavy rains and devastating floods that have battered south China in recent weeks have so far left nearly 400 people dead.
