TowerJazz, Vishay expand chip partnership
JERUSALEM, June 29 |
JERUSALEM, June 29 (Reuters) - Israeli chipmaker TowerJazz (TSEM.O) (TSEM.TA) and Vishay Intertechnology (VSH.N) said on Tuesday they had expanded their business partnership to include devices used for amplifying or switching electronic signals.
Production of these products, called MOSFETs, is expected to result in tens of millions of dollars in additional yearly revenue, the companies said in a statement. [ID:nBw295517a]
A market source noted that TowerJazz's revenue from production of chips for Vishay should double to some $70 million a year starting in 2011 from $35 million. (Reporting by Steven Scheer; Editing by David Holmes)
