LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Alice Eve, who starred opposite Jay Baruchel in "She's Out of My League," is in negotiations to join the cast of "X-Men: First Class," Fox's relaunch of the Marvel Comics-based franchise.

Eve, playing Emma Frost, joins Michael Fassbender as Magneto and James McAvoy as Professor X in a story that focuses on Marvel's superpowered team X-Men in a younger incarnation than the previous trilogy.

In comics lore, Frost was originally a scantily clad villain called the White Queen who eventually became a member of X-Men, then a teacher at Xavier's School of Gifted Students.

Eve also appeared in "The Decoy Bride," and was a candidate for the female lead in "Captain America."
