Toyota: to extend product development time by 4 weeks

TOYOTA CITY, Japan (Reuters) - Toyota Motor Corp (7203.T) will extend the time it takes to develop its vehicles by an average of four weeks per vehicle in a bid to ensure quality, Executive Vice President Takeshi Uchiyamada said on Wednesday.
