S.Korea June LNG imports soar nearly 40 pct y/y

SEOUL, July 15 (Reuters) - South Korea's imports of liquefied natural gas (LNG) jumped nearly 40 percent year-on-year in June, customs data showed on Thursday.

South Korea, the world's second-largest LNG buyer after Japan, imported 2.01 million tonnes of LNG in June, compared with 1.45 million tonnes a year earlier, according to the Korea Customs Service.
