TORONTO, July 20 (Reuters) - Bombardier Inc (BBDb.TO) has won orders for 10 business jets in two separate deals worth a combined $490 million, the company said on Tuesday.
Bombardier said privately owned Swiss company VistaJet placed an order for four Global Express XRS aircraft, which are in the ultra-long range jet category, and two Challenger 605 large business jets, valued at $277 million.
Montreal-based Bombardier, the world's No. 1 business jet maker, also said it received an order for four Global Express XRS jets from undisclosed customers based in Russia. Those orders are worth about $213, based on the 2010 list price for typically equipped aircraft.
Shares of Bombardier fell 6.5 percent on Monday as investors waited for the company to announce an order for its new C-Series 100- to 149-seat narrow-body aircraft.
Qatar Airways said at the Farnborough Airshow on Monday that unspecified "issues" had prevented it from signing a deal for the C-Series passenger jets. [ID:nLDE66I136]
Bombardier said the delay on the Qatar order had to do with a support plan for the C-Series' Pratt and Whitney (UTX.N) engines. [ID:nLDE66I17V]
Bombardier shares closed at C$4.43 on the Toronto Stock Exchange on Monday. ($1=$1.06 Canadian) (Reporting by John McCrank; editing by John Wallace)
