July 20 (Reuters) - The following bids, mergers, acquisitions and disposals involving European, U.S. and Asian companies were reported by 2000 GMT on Tuesday.

** Nokia Siemens Networks (NSN) [NSN.UL] has won an eight-year contract worth more than $7 billion in the United States, deal analysts said this could be the largest order ever placed in the mobile telecoms gear industry.

** Diversified manufacturer Griffon Corp (GFF.N) said it would buy lawn and garden tools maker Ames True Temper from private equity firm Castle Harlan for $542 million in cash. [ID:nSGE66I0K2]
Oil and gas company Concho Resources Inc (CXO.N) said on Tuesday it agreed to buy privately held Marbob Energy for about $1.66 billion in cash and securities, picking up assets in the Permian basin of southeast New Mexico.[ID:nN20199860]
** Salamander Energy Plc (SMDR.L) agreed to buy the Thai unit of oil explorer SOCO International (SIA.L) for about $105 million in cash, snapping up the 40 percent interest that Salamander does not already own in block B8/38 in the Gulf of Thailand. [ID:nSGE66J092]
** Private equity fund Carlyle Group said it had agreed to buy Brazilian health services provider Grupo Qualicorp, seeking to tap into demand from the country's growing middle class. [ID:nN19216764]
** Dell Inc (DELL.O) said it has agreed to acquire storage optimization technology company Ocarina Networks for an undisclosed amount. [ID:nN19211571]
** Australia-based Paladin Energy Ltd (PDN.AX) (PDN.TO) said it was in talks to take over NGM Resources NGM.AX and was undertaking due diligence. [ID:nSYU010301]
** South Korean cosmetic and consumer goods maker LG Household and Health Care (051900.KS) said it was considering taking over unlisted local dairy producer Pasteur. [ID:nSEU003092]
** British mobile email software developer Synchronica DAU.L said it agreed to buy Canadian peer iseemedia IEE.V for about 5.3 million pounds or $8.1 million in an all-stock deal to expand in India and South-East Asia.
