LG Display to invest $514 mln to boost LCD output

SEOUL, July 22 (Reuters) - South Korea's LG Display (034220.KS) said on Thursday it would invest 618 billion won ($513.5 million) in a liquid crystal display line plant to boost capacity for small-sized flat screens.

The investment in its plant in Paju, north of Seoul, will be completed by October 2011, the world's second-largest maker of liquid crystal display (LCD) said in a statement. (Reporting by Miyoung Kim, editing by Leslie Gevirtz)
