Grupo Mexico pitches Southern Copper, Asarco merge

MEXICO CITY, July 23 (Reuters) - Mexican miner Grupo Mexico (GMEXICOB.MX) said on Friday it proposed combining the operations of its affiliates Southern Copper Corp (SCCO.N) and Asarco, according to a filing with the Mexican stock exchange.
