US Eximbank to raise Turkey loans to $5 bln- minister

ANKARA, July 23 (Reuters) - The U.S. Export-Import Bank and Turkey have agreed in principle to raise the bank's financing for projects in Turkey to $5 billion, Turkey's Energy Minister Taner Yildiz said on Friday.

Visiting U.S. Eximbank Chairman Fred Hochberg signed a memorandum of understanding on Thursday with Yildiz to cooperate in financing U.S. exports at an initial $1 billion. (Reporting by Tulay Karadeniz)
