JAKARTA, July 27 (Reuters) - PT Bank Negara Indonesia (BNI) (BBNI.JK), Indonesia's fourth biggest lender by assets, on Tuesday reported first-half net profit rose 61 percent to 1.94 trillion rupiah, as fee income climbed.
Analysts forecast full year 2010 net profit of 3.797 trillion rupiah, according to Thomson Reuters I/B/E/S.
Fee income rose 47 percent to 3.08 trillion rupiah, while net interest income rose 10 percent to 6.13 trillion rupiah, from 5.594 trillion rupiah a year ago.
State-owned BNI, with a market capitalisation of $4.9 billion, aims to raise about 6-7 trillion rupiah in a rights issue later this year to increase liquidity and to support a plan to increase loan growth to about 15 to 18 percent this year.
BNI shares have risen 46 percent so far this year, outperforming the broader market .JKSE which is up around 20 percent.
The latest data from Indonesia's central bank shows loan growth for the domestic banking industry of 19.57 percent year-on-year, as of July 16, underpinned by the central bank's record low interest rates.
