Mexico's Cemex posts $301 mln net loss in 2nd-qtr

MONTERREY, Mexico, July 27 (Reuters) - Cemex (CMXCPO.MX) (CX.N) posted a second-quarter net loss from continuing operations of $301 million on Tuesday, as the world's No. 3 cement maker struggled with weak sales in the United States and Europe.

Cemex said second-quarter revenue fell 3 percent to $3.8 billion from a year earlier. Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortization fell 13 percent to $664 million. (Reporting by Robin Emmott; Editing by Lisa Von Ahn)
