TOKYO, July 30 (Reuters) - Japanese Finance Minister Yoshihiko Noda said on Friday that he was closely watching the foreign exchange market, when asked about the yen's rise to an eight-month high against the dollar.

He also said that he would take a sincere look at a proposal from a group of ruling party lawmakers aimed at beating deflation.

The government is doing its utmost to pull the economy out of deflation, he told reporters. (Reporting by Tetsushi Kajimoto)
