Aug 2 (Reuters) - Omnicare Inc (OCR.N) named James Shelton its interim Chief Executive Officer, succeeding Joel Gemunder, who retired on July 31.
Gemunder, who has been with the healthcare company for nearly 30 years, had been its chairman since May 1981 and CEO since May 2001.
Shelton, who has served as chief executive of Triad Hospitals, will assume the responsibilities of president and chief executive on an interim basis until a permanent replacement is named, the company said.
