MILAN, Aug 4 (Reuters) - Italian fashion house Prada posted a 29 percent rise in first-half revenues on Wednesday, driven by strong retail sales in Asia, the United States and Europe.

Prada, which has said it may float when markets recover, said revenue in the six months to the end of July exceeded 930 million euros ($1.2 billion).

The group, whose stylist Miuccia Prada is considered one of the world's most trend-setting designers, said revenues were up 70 percent in Asia, followed by the United States and Europe.

Prada and Miu Miu brands were the best-performers, it said.

Big luxury names PPR (PRTP.PA), Bulgari BULG.MI and Hermes (HRMS.PA) posted higher first-half sales and the world's No.1 luxury group, LVMH (LVMH.PA), said it was confident about the rest of the year. [ID:nLDE66Q20G] (Reporting by Antonella Ciancio; Editing by Jon Loades-Carter) ($1=.7559 Euro)
