BEIRUT Aug 5 (Reuters) - Lebanon will assess security concerns relating to BlackBerry use in the country, the acting head of the Telecoms Regulatory Authority said on Wednesday.

Imad Hoballah said the TRA would start talks with the device's Canadian maker, Research In Motion (RIM.TO) (RIMM.O), over its concerns.

"We are beginning discussions with RIM over general BlackBerry security conditions in Lebanon," he told Reuters. (Reporting by Yara Bayoumy; Editing by Greg Mahlich)
