Magnitude 5.7 quake hits near Concepcion, Chile

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - A magnitude 5.7 earthquake occurred on Thursday near the west coast of Chile, centered 40 miles south southwest of Concepcion, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

There were no immediate reports of damage.

The quake hit at 2:01 near the epicenter (2:01 a.m. ET) at a depth of 10 miles.
