SEOUL Aug 11 (Reuters) - Seoul shares opened 0.3 percent lower on Wednesday, as Hynix Semiconductor (000660.KS), the world's No.2 memory chip producer, dropped 3 percent following tumbles in U.S. chipmakers on concerns of weak PC sales growth.
Shares in Ssangyong Motor (003620.KS) also fell by the daily limit of 15 percent after Renault Nissan (RENA.PA) (7201.T), one of the strongest bid candidates for South Korea's smallest automaker, dropped its takeover plan.
The Korea Composite Stock Price Index .KS11 (KOSPI) fell 0.2 percent to 1,776.80 points as of 0004 GMT.
