LAN airline shares surge after merger report

SANTIAGO Aug 13 (Reuters) - Shares in Chile's flagship airline LAN LAN.SN (LFL.N) surged over 7.7 percent on Friday after a report that the carrier had merged with Brazil's TAM (TAMM4.SA)(TAM.N).
