UPDATE 1-Barclays outsources management of UK ATMs to NCR

Aug 16 (Reuters) - Barclays Bank Plc (BARC.L) has inked a two-year deal with NCR Corp (NCR.N) for the management and maintenance of its UK network of remote and host operated automatic teller machines.

The ATM maker, which competes with Diebold Inc (DBD.N), will manage and perform maintenance service for 550 remote and host operated ATMs, Barclays said in a statement.

The contract will be managed from NCR's Eurocentral customer care centre near Glasgow, said Barclays, which ranks as Europe's sixth-biggest bank by market value.

Duluth, Georgia-based NCR's shares closed at $12.39 Friday on the New York Stock Exchange. (Reporting by Saqib Iqbal Ahmed in Bangalore; Editing by Jarshad Kakkrakandy)
