Mexico appoints new deputy finance minister

MEXICO CITY Aug 17 (Reuters) - Finance ministry official Jose Antonio Meade will become Mexico's new deputy finance minister, replacing Alejandro Werner, Finance Minister Ernesto Cordero said on Tuesday.

Meade is currently the top official for revenue at the ministry. Werner confirmed he was stepping down on Monday. (Reporting by Patrick Rucker; Writing by Robert Campbell)
