 NEW YORK, Aug 18 (Reuters) - General Motors Co [GM.UL] filed for an initial
public offering of stock on Wednesday. The IPO could raise as much as $20
billion, people with knowledge of the preparations have said. At that, level GM
could join the list of the biggest IPOs of all time, globally.
