LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - "Date Night" saw a big score on home video.

The Steve Carell-Tina Fey comedy, which grossed $99 million in theaters, debuted at No. 1 on all three national DVD and Blu-ray Disc charts, kicking aside the previous week's triple-play winner, "Kick-Ass."

"Kick-Ass" slipped to No. 3 on both the Nielsen VideoScan DVD sales chart and Home Media Magazine's rental chart for the week ending August 15, right behind another new release, "Death at a Funeral," which grossed $42.7 million at the box office.

"Kick-Ass" slipped to No. 2 on Nielsen's dedicated Blu-ray Disc sales chart, while "Death at a Funeral" debuted at No. 4. Blu-ray Disc wasn't a big factor in either new release, accounting for 20 percent of total unit sales of "Date Night" and just 15 percent of total unit sales of "Death."
