Aug 22 (Reuters) - Following are security developments in Afghanistan at 1630 GMT on Sunday.

* denotes new or updated items.

* KABUL - Two U.S. service members of the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) were killed in an insurgent attack in eastern Afghanistan, ISAF said.

* KABUL - A U.S. service member was killed in an insurgent attack in southern Afghanistan, ISAF said.

* KABUL - A U.S. service member was killed by a roadside bomb in a separate attack in southern Afghanistan, ISAF said.

AFGHANISTAN - Five Afghan soldiers were killed in attacks in different parts of Afghanistan, the Defence Ministry said.

BAGHLAN - Afghan police killed four insurgents in a raid in northern Baghlan province overnight, the Interior Ministry said.

FARYAB - A landmine killed a former mujahideen commander and four others in northwestern Faryab province on Saturday, the Interior Ministry said.

BALKH - Four insurgents were killed while they were trying to place a roadside bomb on Saturday, the Interior Ministry said.

KANDAHAR - Three insurgents were killed by coalition forces in Arghandab district of southern Kandahar province on Saturday, the local governor's office said.
