No damage after Pacific Ocean quake off Mexico

MEXICO CITY (Reuters) - A 6.1 magnitude earthquake struck in the Pacific Ocean off the coast of Mexico on Monday, but there were no immediate reports of damage or casualties.
"We are continually monitoring the situation but there are no reports of damage or injuries," said a spokesman for the Jalisco state civil defense organization.
The quake was centered 176 miles west-southwest of Cihuatlan in Jalisco state at a depth of 6.2 miles, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.
