Fannie, Freddie mortgage credit quality better: FHFA

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The credit quality of mortgages bought by Fannie Mae (FNMA.OB) and Freddie Mac (FMCC.OB) has improved substantially since the firms were taken into conservatorship, their regulator said in a report released on Thursday.

This was the first in what will be quarterly reports from the Federal Housing Finance Agency.
