KOREA ECONOMIC DAILY

South Korea's No. 1 fixed-line operator KT Corp (030200.KS) said it would launch a tablet PC based on Google's (GOOG.O) Android operating system, which would be the first of its kind in the Korean market.

MAEIL BUSINESS NEWSPAPER

Hyundai Wia, a subsidiary of Hyundai Motor Group, won a contract worth 300 billion won ($251.9 million) to supply auto parts to General Motors Co [GM.UL] for seven years, according to a company source.

Honam Petrochemical Corp (011170.KS) signed a contract to take a 50 percent stake plus one share in local aircraft parts maker DACC Co., the company said in a statement Monday.

JOONGANG ILBO

STX Europe, a unit of South Korea's STX Group, said it won a contract worth 171 billion won ($143.6 million) to build two platform supply vessels for Norwegian offshore services provider Island Offshore.
