Cycling-Former Tour de France winner Fignon, 50, dies

PARIS Aug 31 (Reuters) - Former Tour de France winner Laurent Fignon has died of cancer at the age of 50.

"He died at 1230 local time (1030 GMT)," Radioshack team manager Alain Gallopin told Reuters on Tuesday.

Frenchman Fignon won the Tour in 1983 and 1984.
