KOREA ECONOMIC DAILY

Lotte Group will hire 6,500 people in the second half of this year and establish a 540 billion won ($450.7 million) fund to finance its subcontractors and suppliers.

LG Electronics (066570.KS) said it would invest $70 million through 2015 to expand production at its factory in Poland.

South Korea's No. 2 crude oil refiner GS Caltex has been picked as the preferred bidder to acquire local waste recycler DAU Metal Co., Ltd., industry sources said Tuesday.

South Korea has finalised a free trade agreement (FTA) with Peru, 18 months after the two countries began negotiations, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade. The FTA is South Korea's eighth.
