Energy Efficient Low Profile Lighting Provides Alternatives to Traditional
Fluorescent
DENVER--(Business Wire)--
American Lighting, an innovative manufacturer and distributor of lighting
technologies for residential, commercial and specialty markets, today announced
long-life, high output light fixtures in sleek, compact designs built for the
residential and architectural markets. The Energy Star rated, LEED certified
PRIORI T2, as well as the Ultra Thin T2, exceed the performance of traditional
fluorescent tubes and save energy as they operate at much lower temperatures
than conventional light sources.

Easy to install, the PRIORI T2 delivers exceptional quality of light, providing
the industry`s only direct-wire high lumen output, high color rendering (90 CRI)
and warm color temperatures (3000° Kelvin). The Ultra Thin T2 combines 3500°
Kelvin white light with 260° of light distribution for either plug-in use or
direct wire applications when used with the slim-line hardwire box. The small
form factor and low profile design of each light fixture allows for simplified
installation and operation in a variety of locations including work areas, cove
lighting, under cabinet applications, display boards and any tight space that
needs clear, bright light.

"We`re pleased to bring to market the latest in high output lighting. Our
customers have new alternatives for their task lighting needs," said David
Wilkins, CEO, American Lighting. "With the new PRIORI and Ultra Thin T2 options
our customers now have access to easy to use, linkable energy efficient
lighting."

Both fixtures use subminiature fluorescenttechnology that produces more than 40
lumens per watt, which saves 75 percent or more energy over incandescent
lighting. The high color rendering provides natural light for showing true
colors.

Additional features include:

* PRIORI T2:

* Energy Star rate, LEED certified (14" and 22" lengths)
* Low Profile design, only 15/16" high
* Bright white light, 30 percent more than T4 and T5 fixtures
* Magnetic lens closure reliably secures cover without clips or tabs that can
bend or break
* Easy installation - lamp included with each fixture
* Tool free access to wiring compartment

* Ultra Thin T2:

* Linkable 120V design speeds installation and allows runs up to 10 fixtures
* Small housing easily fits in small coves, under cabinets and behind backlit
surfaces
* Long life, T2 fluorescent lamps last 10,000 hours (average rated life)
* Easy installation, use with slim-line hardwire box for hardwire installations
or just plug in with six foot power cord (included)
* Available in two linkable lengths: 13-3/8" (8 watts) and 21-3/8" (13 watts)
