China's Huawei wins Tata Tele 3G network contract

MUMBAI, Sept 2 (Reuters) - Indian mobile phone operator Tata Teleservices said on Thursday it had given China's Huawei Technologies [HWT.UL] a contract to roll out the company's third-generation mobile network.

Financial details of the contract were not mentioned in the statement issued by Tata Teleservices, in which Japan's biggest mobile phone operator NTT DoCoMo Inc (9437.T) holds a 26 percent stake. (Reporting by Sumeet Chatterjee; Editing by xxxxxxx)
