Futures point to European shares falling

LONDON, Sept 2 | Thu Sep 2, 2010 2:08am EDT

LONDON, Sept 2 (Reuters) - European shares were set to fall back on Thursday, after rising at their fastest pace in more than three months in the previous session.

At 0605 GMT, futures for the STOXX Europe 50 STXEc1, for Germany's DAX FDXc1 and for France's CAC FCEc1 were down between 0.2 and 0.7 percent.

On Wednesday, the FTSEurofirst 300 .FTEU3 index of leading European shares rose 2.9 percent to 1,055.69 points, its biggest one-day percentage gain since late May, following upbeat manufacturing data from China and the United States.
