BANGKOK, Sept 2 (Reuters) - Thailand's largest energy firm, PTT Pcl PTT.BK, expects its sixth gas separation plant to start operations at the Map Ta Phut industrial estate in the fourth quarter of this year, a company executive said on Thursday.

"We will ask for a licence for operating the plant ... Then we expect the plant will go ahead in the fourth quarter," the executive, who declined to be identified, told Reuters.

Earlier on Thursday, a court ruled that operations on the estate suspended in an environmental dispute could now go ahead. [ID:nWNBS0798] ($1=31.15 Baht) (Reporting by Pisit Changplayngam; Writing by Arada Kultawanich; Editing by Alan Raybould)
