Afghan leader condemns air strike in north
KABUL |
KABUL (Reuters) - Afghan President Hamid Karzai strongly condemned an air strike by foreign forces Thursday that he said killed 10 campaign workers for a candidate in this month's election.
A statement issued by the presidential palace said NATO aircraft conducted the strike in northern Takhar province. The NATO-led International Security Assistance Force said it was investigating the incident.
