Samsung Electronics (005930.KS) plans to increase investment spending by 10 trillion won ($8.53 billion) to 30 trillion won next year, the company's president Choi Ji-sung said on Sunday.

LG Electronics (066570.KS) hopes to increase sales of flat-panel TVs by 40 percent next year, the head of its home entertainment business unit said on Sunday.
