The planned company resulting from the merger of the Spanish flag carrier and British Airways BAY.L has drawn up a list of 12 candidates -- including budget airlines and larger carriers -- to buy or merge with after their tie-up is complete, The Financial times cited British Airways Chief Executive Willie Walsh as saying.

BANCO SANTANDER (SAN.MC)

Santander is in the market for up to 6,000 new hires over the next two years as part of plans by the Spanish bank to expand its UK operations, Financial Times reported Sunday citing sources familiar with its recruitment drive.
