UPDATE 1-American Express Credit to sell $2 bln notes - IFR

NEW YORK, Sept 8 (Reuters) - American Express Co's (AXP.N) American Express Credit Corp plans to sell $2 billion of five-year senior notes on Wednesday, according to IFR, a Thomson Reuters service.

The sale was increased from $1 billion originally planned and is expected to price later on Wednesday at about 143 basis points over Treasuries, IFR said.

Citigroup, Deutsche Bank, Goldman Sachs and RBS are joint book-running managers for the sale, said IFR.
