PARIS, Sept 8 (Reuters) - Unionised workers at two French refineries run by oil major Total (TOTF.PA) continued to block fuel supplies on Wednesday after the previous day's nationwide strikes over pension reform, the CGT union said.

The strikes had been meant to last for 24 hours in the energy sector but the Donges and Grandpuits refineries extended the action. [ID:nLDE6860OL]

Total confirmed the strikes continued at the two refineries.

In principle, workers at Grandpuits in northern France will resume work on Thursday, the CGT said.

"We suspended deliveries and the refinery is running at minimum output until Sept. 9 at 0400 GMT because of management's hostile reaction to Tuesday's strike", said a CGT union representative at the 101,000 barrels-per-day Grandpuits.

At the 230,000 bpd Donges refinery in western France, workers have been blocking deliveries but output has not been cut, another CGT representative said.

Workers there voted for a 3-day strike until Thursday over pension reform. They will meet on Thursday at 1130 GMT to discuss whether or not to prolong the strike. (Reporting by Mathilde Cru in Paris, writing by Ikuko Kurahone in London, editing by Anthony Barker)
