Valero reports crude unit shut at Pt Arthur-filing

HOUSTON, Sept 8 (Reuters) - An atmospheric vacuum unit, two sulfur recovery units, and a diesel hydrotreater were shut at Valero Enery Corp's VLO.N 310,000 barrel per day (bpd) Port Arthur, Texas, refinery on Wednesday due to a power outage, according to a notice filed with Texas pollution regulators.

A Valero spokesman did not have information immediately available about operations at the Port Arthur refinery.

Valero was preparing to restart the units, according to the notice filed with the Texas Commission on Enviromental Quality. (Reporting by Erwin Seba; Editing by David Gregorio)
