BANGKOK, Sept 8 (Reuters) - Thailand's sixth largest lender, TMB Bank Pcl TMB.BK, said on Wednesday its 2010 loan growth would miss its 10 percent target because of weak demand in the first half.

"Growth should exceed 5-6 percent but might not reach the 10 percent target as our lending grew only slightly in the first eight months," Chief Executive Officer Boontuck Wungcharoen told reporters.

The bank reported a 2.5 percent contraction in the first six months. ($1=31.17 Baht) (Reporting by Manunphattr Dhanananphorn; Writing by Arada Kultawanich; Editing by Alan Raybould)
