WASHINGTON, Sept 9 (Reuters) - The White House on Thursday repeated its call for the release of three Americans jailed in Iran.

"These are three innocent ... kids who committed no crime, all three of whom should be released and released immediately by the Iranian government," White House spokesman Robert Gibbs told a news briefing.

He said the U.S. government was in discussion with the Swiss government to determine whether a report was true that Iran will release one of the three detailed hikers accused of espionage.
