Sivananthan Laboratories Celebrates One-Year Anniversary

New Management Structure in Place BOLINGBROOK, Ill.--(Business Wire)-- On September 9, 2010, Sivananthan Laboratories, Inc. ("Sivananthan Laboratories") celebrated its one-year anniversary as a company with a self-sustaining business model dedicated to the mission of fostering fundamental scientific research and development. "We are very excited to have reached this milestone and are looking forward to many more to come." said Dr. Christoph Grein, the Chief Scientific Officer of Sivananthan Laboratories. Today, Sivananthan Laboratories also introduced its new management structure. Raja Krishnamoorthi is the new President of Sivananthan Laboratories. Krishnamoorthi graduated summa cum laude from Princeton University with a B.S.E. in mechanical engineering and a public policy degree from the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs. He then received his J.D. with honors from Harvard Law School. After his graduation, he clerked for Judge Joan B. Gottschall of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. He then joined the international law firm of Kirkland & Ellis LLP, where he practiced commercial litigation and became a partner in the firm. Along the way, Krishnamoorthi was appointed by Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan as a Special Assistant Attorney General to help start its Public Integrity Unit. He also served on the board of the Illinois Housing Development Authority, becoming Chairman of its Audit Committee. Later, Krishnamoorthi became Deputy Treasurer for Illinois. In addition to announcing Krishnamoorthi`s appointment, the Laboratories also announced its promotion of Dr. Grein from Transitional President to Chief Scientific Officer, the highest ranking position at Sivananthan Laboratories. Dr. Grein received a Doctorate in Physics from Princeton University in Theoretical Condensed Matter Physics and held postdoctoral fellowships at the Max Planck Institute for Solid State Research and Harvard University. Dr. Grein has more than 17 years experience in various areas of condensed matter physics and over 150 publications in refereed journals.
