YAROSLAVL, Russia, Sept 10 (Reuters) - Russian President Dmitry Medvedev said on Friday that bandits in the North Caucasus must be destroyed.

"There should be no ceremony with the bandits: they should be destroyed," Medvedev told political analysts in the Russian city of Yaroslavl.

The comments come after a suicide bomber killed at least 18 and wounded over 100 at a busy market in the capital of the North Ossetia province on Thursday. (Reporting by Guy Faulconbridge, editing by Gleb Bryanski)
