German stocks - Factors to watch on September 13
FRANKFURT, Sept 13 |
FRANKFURT, Sept 13 (Reuters) - The DAX top-30 index .GDAXI looked set to open 1.0 percent higher on Monday according to premarket data from brokers Lang & Schwarz at 0614 GMT.
The following are some of the factors that may move German stocks (share price indications at 0615 GMT):
BANKS
Deutsche Bank (DBKGn.DE) indicated 1.0 percent lower
Commerzbank (CBKG.DE) indicated 1.9 percent higher
Deutsche Postbank (DPBGn.DE) indicated 3.2 percent lower
Germany won a key concession in Sunday's talks on new "Basel III" bank capital rules, securing a 10-year phase-out period for a type of capital commonly held by its savings and cooperative banks but rarely used elsewhere. [ID:nLDE68B0HV]
Bundesbank President Axel Weber welcomed the Basel III rules, saying they had addressed Germany's concerns. [ID:nLDE68B0BP]
Separately, Deutsche Bank plans to raise at least 9.8 billion euros ($12.43 billion) to buy the rest of Deutsche Postbank, reducing its reliance on investment banking. [ID:nLDE6891GL]
